These exotic looking plants grow well in Southern California. When certain afternoon sun lights them, they appear to glow. This is the first one I've painted. More will follow.
Making art in a small format is an opportunity to work fresh, with direct response to what's being painted.
Some of these paintings are stand-alone. Some are studies (maquettes) for larger paintings.
The literal translation of this French word is "mock up".
These oil paintings are done on 1/8" Masonite board. They are prepped, varnished & fully archival. Formats are generally 5x7" or 6x6". They're initialed on front, titled, signed and dated on back.
Starting price is $100. If a painting doesn't sell on eBay, it returns to starting price.
